본 연구에서는 광주광역시청에서 2022년 1월부터 9월까지 9개월 동안 생산한 보도자료 12,013개를 수집하고 이를 정제하여 만든 502,449어절의 공공언어 말뭉치를 대상으로 이들 문서에 사용된 한자어들을 분석하고 그 분석 결과를 통해, 한자어 표현에 관련한 보다 효과적인 공공언어 교육 방안을 제안하였다. 먼저, 현재 공공언어 교육의 교육 자료로 활용되는 ‘필수 개선 한자어’들은 한자어 선정에 있어서의 객관적 기준의 부재, 낮은 사용 빈도 등으로 인해 공공언어 교육 자료로 활용되기에 적합하지 않은 것으로 판단하였다. 이에 따라 대규모 공공언어 말뭉치 자료의 ‘사용 빈도’를 기준으로 한 새로운 ‘필수 개선 한자어’ 목록을 만들 것을 제안하였다. 둘째로 ‘제고(提高)’ 및 ‘제고하-’의 공기어를 분석하여 이들의 사용 문맥과 고빈도 공기 명사들을 확인하고 이를 통해 ‘제고(하-)’와 관련된 교육에 있어, 보다 객관적이며 효과적인 교육 자료를 제시하였다. 본 연구가 여러 분야에서 다양한 방식으로 활용 가능한 대규모 공공언어 말뭉치 구축의 발판이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.
영문 초록
In this study, 12,013 press releases produced by Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall, spanning nine months from January to September 2022, were collected and refined for the analysis of a 502,449-words public language corpus. The Chinese characters used in these documents were analyzed. The results supported a proposal for an effective public language education plan related to Chinese character expression. First, the list of Chinese characters employed as educational materials for public language instruction lacks clear evaluation criteria and holds limited practical value, due to their infrequent usage. Therefore, a new list based on “frequency of use” was proposed, drawing from an extensive public language corpus dataset. Second, an analysis was conducted on the words associated with “Jego” and “jegoha-” to confirm their contextual usage and identify high-frequency collocate nouns. This process facilitated the development of more objective and effective educational materials for teaching “Jego” and “jegoha-.”This study provides a basis for the development of a comprehensive public language corpus suitable for diverse applications and purposes.
